This is one of my earliest Flash projects, and was featured in The New Masters of Flash V3.
Neuroscientist Phyllis Pugh, PhD came to me with a challenge: how can we help nursing and medical students better understand the neuromuscular junction and it's context in the human body? Having studied Anatomy and Physiology myself came in very handy. It gave me a great deal of empathy for the students who would eventually use the learning tool we created.
For this project, the majority of my work went into researching the "story line" and making sure the animation was scientifically accurate.
Technology: combination of vector artwork and AS1 code. I used several external script files, which were called by timeline code.
